This morning I was sitting with my roommates trying to come up with an idea for a photo adventure, but with it being cold and rainy there weren't a whole lot of options. Katie started talking about what she was going to be making for dinner and what she needed to get from the grocery store. I proceeded to come up with the ridiculous idea of going with her to Kroger and documenting her grocery shopping experience. Call me crazy, but sometimes you just gotta go along with the weird ideas that come to ya…
Shortly after moving to Nashville I was introduced to this lovely girl named Chelsea. Fast forward a few months and we're now great friends and she has recently launched her business - Daisy Bee Sweet! She creates some of the most beautiful and delicious food I have ever tasted! I had the privilege of spending a day with her, photographing some of her cakes, pies and her gorgeous self. Here are some of my favorites...
I highly recommend Daisy Bee Sweet - consider hiring her to bake you some delicious holiday goodies! I promise you WON'T be disappointed. :)
Chelsea and I share a mutual love for two things: dancing and food.
We met a few weeks back at a place here in Nashville that we both like to go dancing at regularly. We chatted for a bit and I learned that she was a chef who had just recently moved back to the city from San Francisco, CA. I reached out to her not long after we met asking if she'd want to get together and teach me some cooking tricks. We decided on a day and that we'd bake a couple of pies. It turned out to be such a lovely time filled with good conversation, a decent amount of laughter, and of course… delicious PIE!
Since I've moved down here I have been getting into taking photos while I cook. It's been mostly with my iPhone, but for this day I broke out the big camera. The following photos are what I captured during our pie making adventure. I hope it displays well how much fun we had, and the joy I take from both making and photographing food!
